A fun, fast game, rather simple and yet demanding promptness and the capacity of taking quick decisions, sometimes according to the logic and sometimes to the instinct.
Your bets are payed even but the dream is the highest possible hand, a ‘blackjack’ or ‘natural,’ meaning an initial two-card total of 21 (an ace and a ten-value card). In this case the payoff is 3:2.
How does one play? The object of the game is to accumulate cards with point totals as close to 21 without going over 21; you ‘bust’ when your cards total to more than 21 and you lose automatically. Each player in turn either stays or takes more cards to try to get closer to 21 without busting.
The player can take his decision to draw or stay in liberty. The dealer is instead obliged to draw until 16 and stand at 17, or more.
After receiving his first two cards, totaling 9, 10 or 11, and before any more are dealt to him, a player has the option to ‘double down’. Remember that the ace, accordingly, can value 1 or 11.
